A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR CARS - 1995 to 1997

 

My first thoughts was to order the new replacement for the 190 series being the all new C class. Being the first brand new model for quite a while the waiting list was extremely long (6-7 months).

My second choice was to be the E320 Saloon and an order was placed with an expected leadtime of just over 14 weeks. This also meant that it would just get the new number plate issue letter M. It was a fabulous drive and in a little under 3yrs I drove just under 98,000 miles.  It came with a greater selection of standard equipment (MB still thought that a radio should be on an options list). It was also my first car to have proper climate control and many a summer traffic jam became that much more bearable
